This handcrafted keepsake box is absolutely beautiful. I bought it for my son and I truly believe it will be a legacy piece for his family. If I could give it an actual “grade” I would choose an A-, which is still a very very high recommendation. The A+ was only deemed impossible because the top piece illustration did not extend to the corners of the inset and the nail holes were not filled in. And that may be an artistic choice to keep the piece rustic. It certainly didn’t make the box less valuable to me. I just think it would have elevated the craftmanship.

I really like the box and the craftsmanship that went into it. After looking at it for the last couple of days I would have opted to do the laser etching on the top rather than the graphic. I think that would have captured the look I really wanted (vintage and rustic). Right now it looks more like it’s trying to be vintage and rustic but has a modern graphic on top. If the color of the wood on the top was more consistent with the rest of the box, I may have accomplished what I try to achieve

The trunk is absolutely gorgeous!! My boss was VERY happy to receive it. She wanted a 4-row coin holder in a 1/2 tray. The ONLY thing I feel would have been better, were the coin rows. The back row is so close to the wood that it was virtually useless.
